Gagik Kurginyan was born in 1953 in Yerevan, Armenia.
Since 1962 he has been living in Zaporizhzhia.
He finished The Art school and was graduated from Zaporozhzhia State Medical Institute (1971 – 1977).
Since 1984 he has participated in many exhibitions held by the Union of Artists.
Since 1989 he has been a member of the Union of Artists.

1988 – All-Union youth exhibition, Manyezh, Moscow;
2016 – the exhibition of Armenian artists “Pomegranate Flowers” dedicated to the anniversary of the earthquake in Armenia, Zaporizhzhya Regional Museum of Zaporizhia.
His works are in private collections in Poland, Japan, USA, Germany, France, Spain, Armenia, Russia, Ukraine, at the hotel “Sheraton” (Zaporozhzhia), and at Zaporizhzhia regional museum.
